Once it's ready, you can add the result to a new canvas or merge it into your current drawing. You can also resize the output (between 5 and 50 width or height) and change the characters used before merging. By default, it uses █▓▒░, which helps create light and dark areas.

How to Use It

• Click the 8th toolbar button (Image to ASCII).
• Choose your image file (JPG, PNG, etc).
• Set the size from 5 to 50 (larger size = more detail).
• Pick or enter the characters you want to use. The default: █▓▒░
• No need to click "Generate" because it's automatically converterd to the ASCII version.
• You can add it to a blank canvas or mix it into your current art.
• Adjust the result drawing on it, or with the paint bucket to change areas.

💡 Tip: Prepare Your Image Before Uploading

To get the best results, try editing your image first:

• Increase the contrast - This helps the tool tell light and dark areas apart more clearly.
• Convert to black & white (optional) - If you want a clean, high-contrast ASCII art look.
• Crop unnecessary parts - Focus on the subject you care about.
• Resize the image - Smaller images usually work better and convert faster.

To prepare your image you can use IrfanView, paint.net or many free programs.

Predefined Character Palettes 🎨

You can choose from different character sets (called palettes) when converting an image to ASCII art. Each palette gives your artwork a different style and feel. Some are bold and detailed, others are soft and minimal.
